Municipal Group of Companies

The Municipal Group of Companies is an Atlantic Canadian infrastructure company headquartered in Bedford, Nova Scotia. Led by Dexter Construction, the company includes multiple business units that support local infrastructure, heavy civil construction, logistics, environmental services, and related project delivery.

Its work includes roadbuilding, excavation, asphalt paving, grading, drilling and blasting, pipework, bridge construction, demolition, traffic management, logistics, environmental services, and infrastructure support. With more than 50 years of experience in Atlantic Canada, Municipal Group has a long-standing role in building and maintaining regional infrastructure.

From the WMA’s perspective, Municipal Group brings heavy civil construction and infrastructure experience into a relationship designed to create Mi’kmaw participation in major project work. This relationship supports opportunities in construction, workforce development, training, subcontracting, and local economic activity connected to infrastructure across Nova Scotia.
