Natural Forces is an independent power producer and renewable energy developer established in Nova Scotia in 2001. The company develops, constructs, owns, and operates renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydro, and energy storage.

Natural Forces works with local communities, Indigenous communities, universities, municipalities, and community funds to develop clean energy projects. Its model emphasizes long-term community partnerships, local participation, clean electricity generation, and renewable energy development across Canada, Ireland, and France.

From the WMA’s perspective, Natural Forces brings renewable energy development experience into a model that supports Mi’kmaw equity participation in clean energy. This relationship helps connect community benefit, renewable electricity generation, project ownership, and long-term economic returns for Nova Scotia’s 13 Mi’kmaw communities.
