Mi’gmaq United Investment Network, or MUIN, is an investment and profit-sharing entity created by Mi’gmaq First Nations in New Brunswick. It was established to explore economic opportunities, investments, and partnerships that can create results for Mi’gmaq communities and their members.

MUIN’s work is connected to Indigenous participation in major economic opportunities, including infrastructure and energy-related investment. Its structure reflects a collective approach to pursuing long-term benefit through shared investment, partnership development, and regional collaboration.

From the WMA’s perspective, Mi’gmaq United Investment Network reflects a shared Indigenous investment model connected to major regional infrastructure. This relationship is important because it supports collaboration between Mi’kmaw and Mi’gmaq communities in pursuing ownership, long-term benefit, and participation in clean energy infrastructure.

Together, we're working on:

Between Onslow, Nova Scotia (NS) and Salisbury, New Brunswick (NB).
A new 345 kV transmission line connecting Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, developed to strengthen grid reliability, support renewable energy integration, and create Indigenous equity participation for Mi’kmaw and Mi’gmaq communities.
