Black Diamond Mi’kmaq is a majority-owned First Nations business formed through a partnership between Wskijinu’k Mtmo’taqnuow Agency Ltd. and Black Diamond Group. The partnership was established in 2020 to pursue business opportunities connected to modular buildings, space rental, workforce accommodation, and related services in Nova Scotia.
The partnership supports WMA’s broader role in creating business vehicles that can generate long-term economic benefit for the Mi’kmaq of Nova Scotia. By working with an established industry partner, Black Diamond Mi’kmaq creates a pathway for Mi’kmaw participation in service areas that are often required by major construction, energy, infrastructure, industrial, and remote work projects.
From WMA’s perspective, Black Diamond Mi’kmaq reflects a practical partnership model: connect an experienced service provider with Mi’kmaw ownership and participation so that major project activity can create local opportunity, shared value, and long-term economic benefit for the Mi’kmaq Nation.
